35 hectares of vineyards on the Monferrato hills. All our pride and authenticity is contained in our estate. Here wine is made the way we like it.

The Candiani Counts are genuine, esteemed people: noble in birth and in soul. They have done so much for our land and have given us a motto that resounds with all their pride: Alta Petit!

Since the 17th century, every noble family in Monferrato had a hiding place in their villa where they could keep their “treasures.” These dark, silent, underground places are called the infernot: the perfect place to store the best bottles.

Geography

A hilly landscape, with a maximum elevation of 400 meters, the Monferrato area is bordered to the north by the Po River and to the south by the boundary between the provinces of Asti and Cuneo.

Climate

Annual rainfall of 500 to 600 mm and a couple of winter snowfalls provide sufficient water to the soil.

Soil

Marly-calcareous with tufaceous inclusions. It has a whitish color that reflects sunlight onto the grapes, improving ripening.
